The Las Positas Theater Arts department is coming in hot this spring season, with a rocking performance destined to make some noise among its viewers.
“High Fidelity,” based on the novel by Nick Hornby, premiered March 18 and runs through March 26. The classic play centralizes a record store owner named Rob who struggles to gain control of his life after suddenly parting with his longtime sweetheart, Laura. The production follows Rob on a journey to change his life in order to win back his ex-lover.
According to its playbill, “High Fidelity” pays homage to ‘90s music geek culture and explores themes of love, heartbreak and the power of the perfect soundtrack.
“Audiences can expect great performances, with high energy and a rocking score!” said producer and LPC Theater Department Coordinator, Titian Lish.
Ticket sales for the play are now open to theater nerds everywhere, ranging from $10 for students to $20 for staff.
