This year, working with the Pleasanton military, the LPC Veterans First program, is presenting a virtual 2.2 Challenge – with a walk and other challenge activities to be completed virtually from Oct. 21 though Nov. 11. This event raises awareness about the average of 22 veterans to commit suicide every day. Funds raised will help bring mental health professionals to Las Positas College in an effort to support the mental health services for student veterans, and to stop suicide among veterans. Funds raised through the $22 registration fee will also support services provided by the Pleasanton Military Families.
