Each week, the Express will introduce you to someone on campus. He or she may be a mover and shaker on campus, or some random student with a unique perspective. We call it Dime Dialogue. The goal is to get in their head and give you some insight into who they are. They may inspire you. They may frustrate you. They may entertain you. The point is, you never know what you’ll get. You could be next.
Are you a morning or a night person?
Morning person. I get up at four o’clock every day.
Since you’re a vegetarian, would you eat meat again for a lifetime in exchange for 5 million dollars?
For a little while, yes, I could grab a hamburger. For a lifetime, I don’t know. Maybe not.
If you can watch only one TV show for the rest of your life, what would it be?
ESPN. I’d watch football.
Would you rather have a pet tarantula or venomous snake?
Tarantula. They don’t hurt you as far as I know. They’d be easier to keep in a cage. And my wife hates snakes.
If you are to automatically learn to speak a foreign language right now, what would you choose?
That’s a really good one. What would I choose? There’s so many I’d like to know! Let’s go with… Latin.
If you had to choose, would you rather give up sight or give up hearing? Why?
Hearing. Well, I like to read a lot. I’m a very visual person.
If you can do anything with no repercussions, what would it be?
I honestly don’t know what I would do without repercussions.
What is one law you wish was never made? (e.g. wearing seatbelts, etc.)
Prohibition of marijuana is the law I guess should never have been made. I’d say I’ve been supporting the legalization ever since.
Complete the sentence: “All I want my children [or future children] to tell me, is….”
What legacy do you wish to leave at LPC?
A love of learning.
