Over the weekend of Nov 21/22, Sydney Roberts, one of LPC’s composition students in the LPC music department, was awarded First Prize at the annual Music Association of California Community Colleges Conference for her original piece for three marimbas entitled ”Thief.”
The competition was open to community college students from across the state. Roberts will be presented with a $200 scholarship in recognition of her talents. A recording of her piece is at https://soundcloud.com/sydney…/thief-2020-midi-recording
