Released on Aug.12,2016 Sausage Party has critics ranting and raving. The film stars Seth Rogen (Super Bad) as the main character Frank alongside with Kristen Wigg (SNL) playing Brenda . Voice talents of many celebrities are also seen in the film such as James Franco, Jonah Hill and Craig Robinson.
The commercials you’d see on television for the film with DMX Party Up playing personally got me excited to see the film. The commercials were great and really hyped up viewers but the film had both pros and cons.
Pro’s are that I did enjoy the story, I wasn’t sure where they were going with when I first a preview but they did a good job as well as choosing their cast.
Con’s the humor in the film was raunchy needless to say, the film isn’t met for everyone. It’s not a movie you want to see with your parents nor take a child to see although it is animated. Rotten Tomatoes gave the film an 82 percent I would probably rate it a 50.
The comedy in the film is one of a kind and not in a good way unless you’re into dirty humor but myself on the other hand am not. If you’re into Seth McFarlen (Family Guy) type of comedy then you will most likely not enjoy this film like myself. But if you are a huge Seth Rogen fan with all of his films and I mean all you will probably enjoy it.
Seth Rogen does make pretty funny movies don’t get me wrong but I was just disappointed in Sausage Party, It was the wrong humor for the story.
The very end of the film will have you saying WTF and asking yourself what you just watched, but you’ll have to see it to believe.
