Flu Shots at LPC
The student health and wellness center is offering free flu shots to students. Call (925) 424-1830 to make an appointment. Faculty and staff can get flu shots for a $20 fee.
Chill and Chats
Chill and Chats are sessions to allow LPC students to connect with other students, learn about stress management, learn how to overcome life obstacles and receive and give support. Chill and Chats are sponsored by Student Health and Wellness Center.
Specific Chill and Chats are:
General, every Wednesday from 6 – 7 p.m.
Middle College Mondays from 10:15 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Undocumented Students, The second Monday of every month from 3-4 p.m.
Veterans every Wednesday 6-7 p.m.

California COVID Relief Legislation signed by Governor Newsome
Governor Newsome signed a bill that provides emergency relief to Californians experiencing hardship during the COVID-19 pandemic. The bill includes $100 million in emergency financial aid for California community colleges. The money will be used to provide grants to qualifying low-income students carrying six or more units. Details are not available yet until the amount of funding becomes? available for Las Positas College. The bill also includes direct payments of $600 to households with income less than $75,000. The funds will be sent after filing state income tax returns for the year 2020.
