College offers free groceries
Las Positas holds a Market every month to distribute free groceries. It is held in front of the 1600 building, a short walk from the bus stop. This semester the market will be held on Sept. 17, Oct. 15, Nov. 19 and Dec. 17 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Libraries to visit college
Las Positas is holding a library card drive on Wednesday, Oct. 16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Get a free library card in front of the LPC library from participating public libraries in San Francisco, Livermore, Alameda County (Dublin) and Pleasanton. You can also learn how to take advantage of their many free online resources, including streaming movies, audiobooks, eBooks, e-Magazines, language learning apps and museum passes.
College hosts Four-year colleges on Transfer day
Las Positas is holding a Transfer Day on Monday, Sept. 16. It will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the LPC Quad, in front of the library. The colleges that will be there are SFSU, SJSU, Arizona State, Sacramento State and more. For more information call the Career and Transfer Center at (925) 424-1425.
