Students wanting to Transfer with AA- T degree to the four year institution needs to be aware of possible snags. Las Positas College offers Associate Arts Degree with transfer to four-year colleges. The students at LPC can talk to counselors to apply for their AA -T Degrees. The deadline is April 2nd to apply for these transfer classes for the AA -T.
AA-T degrees that students can apply for at the are Anthropology, Studio Arts, Communication Studies, English, History, Kinesiology, Journalism, Music, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, and Theater Arts.
Other AA -T Degrees that will be coming soon to LPC are Global Studies 1, Economics, Social Work And Human Service, which will start the fall of 2018. Global Studies 2 will be added to the Global Studies program in 2019.
When students apply for other colleges, students should check and see if classes are transferable, as it is not always a guarantee according to Michelle Zapata, Transfer center coordinator. Students must keep up their grades to meet the admissions requirements for that college. Students should discuss details with your counselor.
