Looking for a way to put some pep in your step? At LPC’s on-campus cheer club, members have the opportunity to celebrate local athletes and teams. Any and all types of students are welcome to join, regardless of experience, age, gender or ability.
According to club vice president and coach Angelique Vories, members can expect to have fun, meet new people and learn about cheer.
To inquire, one should send their name and experience level, along with their student identification number, to axvories@zonemail.clpccd.edu. In addition to an inquiry, prospective members are encouraged to attend the club’s first informational meeting in room 4127 on Friday, Oct. 7 at 3 p.m.
Following the week of the first meeting, an evaluation meeting will occur on Oct. 17 at 3 p.m. Students are expected to wear comfortable form-fitting clothes and firm shoes. Bringing snacks and water is also recommended.
