Multiple scholarships from the LPC Foundation are available. Applications can be submitted from now to March 8. The LPC Foundation is providing over $400,000 in scholarships. This year the foundation has worked with the financial aid department to ensure that it is as easy as possible to apply. Students can currently browse through the 79 scholarships available and automatically check their eligibility online.
Scholarships like this can help alleviate financial trouble. Larger scholarships available may even pay for significant portions of an applicant’s education, up to $25,000.
Students who want to apply should note that while the application process has been made relatively easy, there are several requirements that must be fulfilled in order to be eligible to receive scholarships:
- All applicants must have completed either thor FAFSA or Dream Application by Feb. 22.
- Students are expected to have been enrolled at campus full-time during the fall 2020 semester to qualify for the majority of scholarships.
- Many scholarships have supplemental questions that are required to apply.
- Scholarships may require personal references.
Executive Director of the LPC Foundation Kenneth Cooper said that the foundation has worked hard to ensure the scholarships are as easy to find as possible. Currently, the scholarships are available on the LPC website.
In a student government meeting, Cooper stated that every year many scholarships go unclaimed that could be easily claimed with a good application. “If you put in a quality application you have a good chance of getting the scholarship,” said Cooper. Cooper encourages students to apply for the many scholarships available.
