LIVERMORE – The ball has not rolled in the Hawks favor this evening in the Tony Costello gym.
Trailing at home 45-25 at the half, LPC has seen first hand why City College of San Francisco is the number one ranked community college team in the state.
Starting off with a 10-0 run in favor of CCSF, Las Positas was unable to take the lid off of the basket shooting 0-6 from the floor. With shooting woes lasting for the first several minutes of the first half, San Francisco has been able to get things going offensively.
A strong interior presence from the Rams has caused the Hawks problems. Dribble, drive, penetration and precise passing inside of the key have allowed the Rams to seemingly get whatever they want offensively.
Putting up 26 points in the first 10 minutes of play, CCSF has had Las Positas looking confused on defense. To make matters worse, the Hawks have not been able to get to the defensive glass. This lack of rebounding has given San Francisco several offensive boards leading to second and third chance shots.
If the Hawks hope to come away with their second victory over San Francisco, adjustments will need to be made defensively.
