Thirteen Las Positas College scholarships have been reopened until midnight, April 7 after no applicants submitted. The awards range from $100 to $2,500.
All students who wish to apply must be enrolled in at least six units during spring 2016 semester and have already completed at least 12 units at LPC. Depending on the major or career goal, there may be other requirements.
Majors and specific criteria include:
- PE/Kinesiology
- Fire Service Tech
- a student who has former foster care experience
- speech/forensics participant
- government studies/political science
- history or political science
- dance student
- any student planning a career in teaching
- horticulture
- enology
- viticulture
- automotive technology
- students who took a fencing course.
