Ditch the eight hour drive. Leave behind the camping and overpriced hotels. Take back your five-day time off request. With all the hype during festival season surrounding Coachella, many locals miss out on the next best thing, without all the hassle. We have access to some of the best festivals, right here in the Bay. And the best part is, you can sleep in your own bed when they are finished. Skip the long drive, avoid the traffic. Pass up the boarding expenses. We already pay enough for those. And the biggest advantage? Getting the entire music festival experience, without breaking the bank. Coachella ticket prices average around $500, if you’re elite enough to snag a ticket before they sell out (in minutes). Not to mention the price of shuttles and camping space fees. Here are a collection of some of the most popular Bay area alternatives that will be sure to knock your Coachella FOMO.
