The search continues for a permanent chancellor as the Board has decided not to select any of the three finalists.
Each candidate was interviewed by the Board of Trustees on the evening of Dec. 18, when the decision was made.
The next morning, Interim Chancellor Thomas Fallo’s office sent out a statement regarding the unexpected decision.
Dr. Fallo thanked the search team and other contributors in the statement and promised that the decision will be followed up with more steps soon. “Please be assured that the administration and Board of Trustees will continue to work closely to establish our next steps in the chancellor search process,” the email stated.
The three finalists included Lisa Avery, Ph.D.; David Dore, Ed.D. and Walter Tribley, Ph.D. Each of them made an appearance at Las Positas College and Chabot College on Dec. 11 and 12, respectively. The Express endorsed Dr. Lisa Avery in the Dec. 12 issue.
