In the recent years, Marvel has been releasing movies in a rapid fire motion, and they have been nothing short of fantastic. From the solo movies of “Captain America,” “Thor” and the eventual team-up movie “The Avengers,” audiences everywhere have been thrilled and left wanting more.

This year, with the release of “Guardians of the Galaxy,” Marvel has done it once again.

In “Guardians of the Galaxy,” outlaw and thief Peter Quill, also known as Star Lord, teams up with a set of interesting characters to save the galaxy, though unbeknownst to them. From the very beginning, it is filled with action, good music, humor and supporting characters that entertains and satisfies people everywhere.

Throughout the movie, everything from the effects, acting and story bring everything together very well. The visuals were stunning, mixing both the sounds and imagery of the places throughout the movie, the characters and even the items they were using. For example, watching the ships flying through the settings that were majestic galaxies, or even just the way the places looked as they walked through it.

Chris Pratt played the role of Peter Quill, a thief who is out to make money and get action with all kinds of women in the universe. Gamora the assassin, played by Zoe Saldana, is a great counter to Quill, keeping him at bay from his “pelvic sorcery,” yet helping him out at the same time.

Dave Bautista, former WWE wrestler, plays Drax the Destroyer, whose constant arguing and fighting with Gamora provide great entertainment and humor. More humor and action also come from the pair known as Rocket and Groot, voiced by actors Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel. They provide plenty of quirks throughout the movie, and add to the action at every part of the movie that they’re in.

Enter bad guys Ronan and Nebula, played by Lee Pace and Karen Gillan, and add them to the fray of the misfit Guardians to get a conflict of the ages. From personal vendettas to the Guardians trying to save the universe, and you’re constantly on the edge of your seat, wanting to know what’s going to happen next, where’s the next place they’re going and even more.

Putting these characters together, the visual and sound effects and the great plot in the movie, and you get the experience known as “Guardians of the Galaxy.” You will be on the edge of your seat the entire movie, waiting for the next scene to happen, getting plenty of laughs and even getting to enjoy plenty of good old 80’s classic hits.
