Eric Pineda was elected president of the Associated Students of Las Positas College in voting that wrapped up late last month. Pineda ran on a platform that included making campus life simpler for students.

In other results, Angela-Gussi Toledo was elected vice president, and Zackary Jacob Moore was elected director of legislation. Both ran unopposed.

Nancy Quach, who ran “to create fun and exciting events for the students of LPC,” was elected director of events.

Joshua M. Moore was elected director of communications, Zainab Dogar was elected student trustee and Branden Hayden Byrne was elected chairman of the Inter Club Council.

As president, Pineda will receive a stipend of up to $1,000 and Toledo will receive up to $800. All others may receive as much as $700. The stipends depend on the work done by each and evaluations of that work.
